The Ruling on Insulting the Divine Self and the Noble Prophet ﷺ
Is it true that whoever insults the Divine Self is given a chance to repent before retribution, whereas whoever insults the Prophet ﷺ is not given a chance to repent and is killed even if they repent? What is the wisdom behind this?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The issue of the repentance of one who insults the Prophet (peace be upon him) is controversial. In the Hanafi school, he is to be given a chance to repent and his repentance is accepted. And God knows best.
