Question
Is the vomit of an infant after breastfeeding considered impure? If so, this is a very difficult matter; it is more challenging than the urine of a boy who only breastfeeds from his mother, because urine is something that can be avoided, but vomiting is difficult to avoid, especially right after breastfeeding. How can a mother navigate this issue?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: If the vomit is from milk and is little, it is not impure. However, if it is from the stomach of a small child, it is impure and will make the clothes impure. The mother should wash such clothes that have been vomited on, as they become foul-smelling and are generally undesirable. The mother should take this into consideration, and God knows best.
