The Ruling on Independent Intention in Prayer
When starting each prayer, is the intention required? For example: in the Sunnah prayer before Dhuhr, is it necessary to intend separately for each two rak'ahs, or do I intend one intention for the four rak'ahs?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: One intention is sufficient for the four rak'ahs, and God knows best.
