The Ruling on Impure Excretions
A lady says: She knows that excretions like blood, pus, and discharge do not invalidate ablution according to books that pertain to the jurisprudence of the Sunnah. Does this indicate a mistake by Imam Abu Hanifa? And if we know this from a sound hadith, can we clarify or correct the answer?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: The issue of blood invalidation is a controversial matter among the schools of thought, and the Hanafis have many strong evidences to support it. No school can assert a matter without evidence. If it is Hanafi, then they must adhere to the school and trust it. And God knows best.
