The Ruling on Having a Salary in a Usurious Bank
I have an account with Al-Safwa Bank, and I worked with my salary deposited in the Housing Bank. When I tried to transfer my salary, I faced difficulties, and there is no time due to work. Regarding what is halal and haram, should I transfer my salary to Al-Safwa Bank, or should I keep it and transfer the deposit account from the Housing Bank to Al-Safwa? Is this haram or halal?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: We must not assist usurious banks, and it is necessary to transfer the salary to an Islamic bank, even if it is difficult, so that we can avoid the sin of aiding the usurious bank. And God knows best.
