The Ruling on Gratitude for Causes
Is it permissible to say: You have a favor upon me after Allah, the Exalted?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: this is a matter of respect for those of virtue, and a fulfillment of our duty to acknowledge their status and position, and there is nothing to prevent that, and God knows best.
