The Ruling on Gifts to the Children of Descendants
A woman whose daughter has passed away has two granddaughters, and the grandmother wants to give them an amount of money knowing that the maternal uncles are opposed to this. Is it permissible for the grandmother to give them?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is permissible for her during her lifetime to manage her wealth as she wishes. If she sees that these girls are poor and in need and wishes to help them, she is allowed to do so, and she will be rewarded for it. And God knows best.
