The Ruling on Gifts Taken from Excess Hospital Property
I asked a nurse to help me with milk for my children that is expensive in the market. She said to me: I will bring it to you, and when she gave it to me, I asked her: Is this forbidden? She said to me: No, it is not forbidden because it is excess in my custody.
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is not permissible for you to take it from her, unless you are certain that the hospital has given her the right to dispose of it as she wishes; because it does not belong to her, but rather it belongs to the hospital, and God knows best.
