The Ruling on Gifting Children Without the Wife
An old man distributed all that he owns to his children except for a plot of land, and he did not give anything to his wife because he dislikes her, and she is not the mother of his children. He wants to divorce her; however, he fears that he will anger God because by doing so, he deprives her of inheritance. What is the ruling on this?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: He should fear Allah in this matter, and give her a share of his wealth just as he gives to his children, and he should not divorce her, and Allah knows best.
