The Ruling on Forgetting to Sit Between the Two Prostrations
A person forgot the second prostration and performed it after the worshippers alerted him, but he missed the sitting between the two prostrations out of forgetfulness and ignorance. What is the ruling on his prayer?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: The sitting between the two prostrations is a Sunnah, so there is no consequence for neglecting it other than the wrongdoing of abandoning the Sunnah, and God knows best.
