The Ruling on Fajr Prayer During Sunrise
It is said that if you see the sunrise, you should not pray until it has risen and is visible and slightly elevated. What is the appropriate time for prayer? Is it permissible to pray during sunrise?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: We pray thirty minutes after sunrise; due to the prohibition of praying at the time of sunrise, and God knows best.
