The Ruling on Explicit Divorce During Anger
A woman was divorced by her husband three times in a state of anger, so she left his house. Then, his mother and brother intervened and brought her back to him. Is this permissible?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If his actions go beyond the usual, such as hitting, cursing, and breaking, then the divorce does not occur; otherwise, it does occur. He should consult a mufti to confirm the reality of the situation, and God knows best.
