The Ruling on Esophageal Reflux
A person suffers from esophageal reflux, meaning that when burping, some food or stomach secretions return to the mouth. If this happens during prayer, does it invalidate the ablution and the prayer?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: The ablution is not invalidated and the prayer is not nullified if it does not reach the amount of filling the mouth, which cannot be accurately measured except with difficulty, and God knows best.
