The Ruling on Divorce in Anger
My wife is pregnant, and we had a divorce; I told her while I was angry: 'Go, you are divorced,' knowing that we had divorced twice before. What is the ruling on that?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The divorce of an angry person is valid if his anger does not lead him to behave in ways that are unusual for him, such as drinking, cursing, insulting, or breaking things. You should consult the mufti to confirm the occurrence of the divorce, and God knows best.
