The Ruling on Distributing Gifts Among Children While Alive
A lady has three sons and six daughters. She sold a piece of land and gave her children from the proceeds of the land, giving the son twice as much as the daughter. Is this permissible?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: equality is preferable, but you have the choice in dividing between them equally or preferentially if it is not a division of inheritance, and God knows best.
