The Ruling on Disposing of Excess Money Donated to a Student of Knowledge
An amount was collected for a student of knowledge, and all expenses were paid for him, leaving some money remaining. Is it permissible to give this money to a widow, or should this money remain with the student of knowledge?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The money remains for the student of knowledge; because it has been gathered for him, and God knows best.
