The Ruling on Delaying the Sacrifice with the Intention Present
Is it permissible for a person to intend to buy a sheep and sacrifice it, then delay the sacrifice until after the fortieth day, as this is a tradition in our country?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is disliked to adhere to these traditions that burden people with what they cannot bear, and make their actions insincere. And God knows best.
