The Ruling on Cutting Hair and Nails for the One Who Sacrifices
A man wanted to sacrifice a cow without anyone knowing except for a friend who helps him, out of fear of envy. Is it permissible for him to cut his nails and hair so that no one notices? And is it permissible for his brothers to share in the cow at a rate of 10%?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is permissible to cut nails and hair for the one who is offering a sacrifice, but it is contrary to what is preferable. As for the participation of brothers, it is permissible to share if they intend to offer a sacrifice like him, not just that they want the meat. And God knows best.
