The Ruling on Combining Intentions in Sacrifice

Question
A man wants to combine intentions, so he sacrificed a cow for his deceased brother and for other living individuals. Is his action valid?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: The cow suffices for seven, so it is permissible to intend it for the deceased and for others, and God knows best.
