The Ruling on Breaking an Oath of Piety
I am a teacher who swore on the Quran that I would not help any student in the final exam, and four years ago during the exam, I was compelled to do so out of compassion for the students, and I helped them with one question. What should I do?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: This is a sin and betrayal, and you must repent and seek forgiveness for that, and God knows best.
