The Ruling on Asking Neighbors for Water When It is Lacking
Is it permissible for me to perform tayammum if the water in my house runs out, or must I ask those around me, my neighbors, for it?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is necessary to seek or purchase water for ablution, and it is not permissible to perform tayammum when water is close, less than a mile away, and God knows best.
