The Ruling on Asking for Money from the Suitor
What is the ruling on a girl asking her suitor for money and for him to buy her a mobile phone and other things, considering that he comes to visit her and is alone with her?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is not permissible for them to be alone together unless there is a contract between them. If he has contracted with her, then she is his wife and he is obligated to provide for her. She can ask him for whatever she likes; because she is his wife, and God knows best.
