Question
What is the ruling on removing ritual impurity with sea water that has a slight odor of wastewater, swimming pools that have a chlorine smell, and swimming pools that contain impurities?
Answer
Answer: I say, and may God grant success: If the water is not impure, it is permissible to remove the state of ritual impurity with it. Impure water is that which has been mixed with impurity if it is less than five meters by five meters. If the water reaches five meters by five meters or more, it is considered impure if the impurity that has occurred in it changes its color, taste, or smell. And God knows best.
