The Ruling on a Woman Leaving Her Marital Home During the Waiting Period Under Duress
A woman whose husband has died and his family wants her to go to her family and not return. Do they have the right to do that, and is she sinful for this act?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: If staying in her husband's family's house is a temptation for her, or if the house is no longer in her ownership, it is permissible for her to move to another house, such as her family's house, and God knows best.
