The Ruling on a Woman Giving Her Zakat to Her Poor Husband
Is it permissible for a woman to give her Zakat to her poor husband, or to buy for her household from her Zakat what is needed due to her husband's financial inability because of his many debts?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is not permissible to give zakat (almsgiving) to a husband or children; rather, you help them from your own wealth, and the zakat is 2.5%. And God knows best.
