The Ruling on a Woman's Request for Independent Housing
My brother's wife and her son live with us, and her son is thirty years old. Both of them are in good mental and physical health, but they do not try to do anything. If I ask them to leave the house and live elsewhere, will I be sinful for making this request?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: A woman has the right to live in a separate house with her husband, so that she can adorn herself for him as she wishes, and it is the husband's duty to provide that for her. He is not allowed to live with anyone she does not approve of, and God knows best.
