The Ruling on a Wife Taking Her Right from Her Husband Without His Knowledge
A married woman took part of her dowry, and there is still a part remaining that the husband is supposed to give to the woman's mother; however, she passed away before he could give her the remaining dowry. Is the wife entitled to take from the husband's money without his knowledge what remains of her dowry and give it as charity for her mother, knowing that the husband is stingy and refuses to give the wife the rest of her dowry?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: She should remind him of her right to the remaining dowry, and involve good people to help her obtain her right to the dowry, and she should not resort to taking his money without his knowledge; due to the negative consequences that may arise from it, and God knows best.
