The Ruling on a Vow Conditional on a Condition
A woman vowed to fast for a year if her son recovered, and he did recover, but she was unable to fast. What is the ruling?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If she is unable in a lasting way, it is permissible for her to pay the ransom, which is the amount of two dinars for each day, and God knows best.
