The Ruling on a Sister Giving Her Zakat to Her Brother
Is it permissible to give zakat to a poor married brother from an unmarried sister? And is it permissible to give him a monthly amount and consider it as zakat?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is permissible to give zakat to brothers in general if they are poor, and you will have two rewards: the reward of zakat and the reward of maintaining ties (of kinship), and God knows best.
