The Ruling on a Mother Taking Her Daughter's Money Without Her Knowledge
A needy mother takes money from her daughter with or without her knowledge; is she sinful in doing so? And if she regrets her action, will anything be required of her?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: She must seek permission to take money from her daughter, unless there is an understanding between them that she can take it without permission. She must inform her daughter of her previous situation, and God knows best.
