The Ruling on a Mother's Unjust Curse on Her Daughters
The father passed away, and the inheritance was not distributed. When the daughters requested their shares from one of the brothers, the mother and the youngest son refused. The mother became angry with them and started to pray against them. Is the mother's prayer answered? And are they sinful for that?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: The mother must repent to God Almighty for this injustice she is committing by consuming her daughters' rights. In doing so, she is committing a great sin and is unjust. The prayer of the oppressed is answered, not that of the oppressor. Therefore, they should demand their rights and take them so that they do not increase in their mother's disobedience, while continuing to be dutiful to their mother and fulfilling her rights, and warning her about this sin, even if it is done by some righteous people, such as uncles and aunts, for example. And God knows best.
