The Ruling on a Man's Refusal to Pray in the Mosque for a Reason
A man passed away, known for his righteousness; however, he did not pray in congregation at the mosque, claiming that the imam was not committed. Does he bear any sin?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: praying in congregation at the mosque is a confirmed Sunnah, and it is not obligatory; therefore, there is no sin in neglecting it, but rather it is a wrongdoing, and God knows best.
