The Ruling on a Husband Swearing to His Wife with (I swear by what is forbidden to me)

Question
A man swore to his seamstress wife: 'I swear by what is forbidden to me if the women come to you and have their clothes sewn by you.' The women have come to the wife for sewing. Does this result in divorce for the wife?
Answer

I say, and with Allah's success: If he intends it as a divorce, it counts as a divorce. If he intends it as an oath, he must offer expiation. And Allah knows best.
