The Ruling on a Fasting Person Who Ate Tree Leaves

Question
What is the ruling on a fasting person who ate tree leaves?
Answer
If it is something that is usually eaten, then he must make up the fast and provide expiation; and if it is something that is not usually eaten, then he must make up the fast without expiation, due to the lack of complete desire and craving. Refer to Bada'i' al-Sana'i' 2: 99.
