The ruling for someone who broke their fast in Ramadan due to travel and remained in that travel after Ramadan and then died without making up the fast
What is the ruling for someone who broke their fast in Ramadan due to travel and remained in that travel after Ramadan and then died without making up the fast?
Answer
If someone missed fasting in Ramadan due to the excuse of travel and remained traveling until he died, he will meet Allah without any obligation to make up the fast; because he died before the obligation to make up the fast was established upon him. However, if he bequeathed that he should be fed on his behalf, his bequest is valid even though he was not obliged to do so, and he should be fed from one-third of his wealth; because the validity of the bequest does not depend on the obligation.
