I say, and with God's success, it invalidates the prayer; because it is considered a response to someone who has called outside of the prayer, and this is one of the things that invalidate the prayer. It is based on what is mentioned in Al-Dhakhira: if the praying person says "Amen" to a man's prayer who is not in prayer, his prayer is invalidated, and God knows best.
