Question
A woman swore an oath not to do a certain thing, then she did that act, and then she swore again not to do it and repeated this oath five times, but she returned to that act. What is the expiation for her oath, and does she owe one expiation or more? Should it be fulfilled by feeding or by money?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If the oaths that came afterward confirm what was before them, then she has one expiation to make. If the oaths are renewed each time, then she has five expiations to make, and she must give to ten needy people an amount of two dinars each for every oath. And God knows best.
