I say, and with God's help: The saliva of a dog is a severe impurity, and it is not permissible to purify with it in any case, nor should it be drunk except in necessity, whether it is a hunting dog or a herding dog; because the saliva of the dog is impure; as narrated by Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, who said that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "If a dog licks from a vessel, then..." And Allah knows best.
