I say, and with God's success: Imam Al-Tahawi is one of the greatest scholars of Hadith, and he holds a high and esteemed rank, but it is well-known that Al-Bukhari has a higher status. This requires research and verification, as the Hanafis prefer Al-Tahawi over others in Hadith. And God knows best.
