Is it permissible to propose to a woman who is in her waiting period after divorce? The proposal here means that the mother of the man talks to the mother of the girl he wishes to propose to, to inform her of her son's desire to propose to her daughter without either of them seeing each other.

I say, and with God's help: It is not permissible to propose openly or indirectly during the waiting period of a divorced woman, and all actions related to that during the waiting period are forbidden. No words related to her from another man are allowed during the waiting period, and God knows best.
