The Principle of Retribution
Is retribution to be equal as stated in the Quran, 'a tooth for a tooth, an eye for an eye,' or is it determined by the judge's ruling based on each individual's different circumstances?

I say, and with God's success: The original rule in retribution is that it should be equivalent, and God knows best.
