The Preference Between Secret Charity and Charity as an Example
Is it permissible to give charity publicly to encourage others to do so? Or is secret charity preferable?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: Both are good for which you will be rewarded. The principle of charity is to be secret, unless there is a greater benefit in showing it and setting an example for others. And God knows best.
