The Prayer of the Elderly Who Often Forgets
Is there anything required of an elderly person who reaches a stage of severe forgetfulness, does not know the prayer times, and misses some of them? And what about someone who is in a coma, do they have to make up the prayers?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If a person loses his mind, prayer is no longer obligatory for him, and if he regains his mind, prayer becomes obligatory for him again, and so on. And God knows best.
