The Prayer of One Who Drinks Alcohol
My son's colleague at work asks when he should pray if he has been drinking alcohol? Is it permissible for him to pray when the time for the obligatory prayer arrives?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: His prayer is valid if he is not drunk, and it is forbidden for him to drink alcohol. He must repent to his Lord and return to his senses, and God knows best.
