What is the validity of the statement that the eyes should be on the left side of the praying person's chest while sitting for Tashahhud in prayer?

I say, and with God's success: It is preferable for the gaze of the eyes during prayer while sitting to be directed towards the stone; because it is more conducive to humility, and God knows best.
