The Permissible in Wiping the Head
What are the limits of wiping a woman's hair? Is it not sufficient, for example, to wipe the hairline next to the ear with more than three strands or from the back, so that we do not wet the beginning of the hair and make it look unkempt?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is permissible to wipe any part of the hair on the head, but not that which falls beyond the boundaries of the head, and only to the extent of a quarter. And God knows best.
