The Partial in Prostration and the Ruling on Doubt in the Qibla
A lady in a medical clinic prayed Maghrib while wearing her shoes, but she did not prostrate on the ground out of fear of infection. After she finished, she doubted the correctness of the Qibla. Does she have to repeat the prayer or not?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: Prayer without prostration is invalid, and it must be repeated. One must ask about the qibla before praying, if there is someone to ask about it. It is not permissible to pray without verifying the correctness of the qibla, and God knows best.
