The Obligation of Sacrifice for One Who Owns the Nisab

Question
If my fiancé gave me gold as part of the dowry several months before Eid al-Adha, and the amount of gold I have reached the nisab of zakat, knowing that we have not yet contracted the marriage, does the ownership of the gold revert to me or is it his? And if the answer is that it is mine... am I obligated to perform the sacrifice? Knowing that I do not have money to buy the sacrifice and I have no financial income?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If one possesses the amount of the nisab, which is 100 grams of gold, then it is obligatory for him to offer a sacrifice. It is permissible to sell part of the gold to fulfill this obligation. What your fiancé gives you before the marriage, if it is from the dowry, does not belong to you until after the contract; if it is a gift, then it belongs to you. And God knows best.
