Question
What is the ruling if one of them takes any food in front of him and swears by Allah that if he is lying, this food will be the last thing he eats in his life, or that if he is lying, may Allah make this food poison for him?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: If he is lying in his oath, this is the false oath (yamin al-ghamus), and no expiation is required for it; rather, what is obligatory is to increase in seeking forgiveness and giving charity. And God knows best.
