The Non-Mahram Status of the Unbelieving Brother
A sister who has embraced Islam asks: Should she observe hijab from her brother, and is it permissible for her to be alone with him in the same house?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: She is not required to wear hijab in front of her brother. If she feels safe from him and does not fear temptation, then it is permissible for her to be alone with him. And God knows best.
